What Does A Continuance Mean

What does "motion continuance" mean in court?

It means that the attorney put in a motion to postpone the case until a certain date usually 30 days.. The reason can be a conflict with scheduling , or they need additional time to prepare. etc.... It shows to have been denied though. So the case should proceed as originally scheduled.

What does incarceration mean?

Incarceration: n. confining for (penalty and/or protective care) and/or guardianshipMost incarcerations put humans in prisons but there are cases of protective care and/or custody and/or guardianship which confines humans within certain boundaries for their own protection. In cases of minor or child custody a human(s) is given rights to care for, possess, and limit the movement of samer child and/or minor and this sometimes results in incarceration or confinement to a relatively small area for usually relatively short durations as a punishment for immoral behavior and/or bad behavior.

Can I ask for more than 1 continuance in court?

You can always ask, but there is no guarantee that they will say yes. You might want to call the clerk of the court, or whoever is responsible for scheduling, and explain your situation. Do NOT take the court by surprise if you can avoid it. Normally I would say ask your lawyer, but I am not sure if s/he will help you until you have paid. S/he might, so try that also. good luck.

What does incarceration status order for continuance mean?

An order for continuance usually refers to putting off a court proceeding until a later date. This can be for any number of reasons whether to gather information, because one of the parties or attorneys is not available, or any myriad of other reasons. As far as incarceration status I can only guess that they are saying that the incarceration will continue until the next court date, though I am not positive. If you have more specifics regarding context I could probably provide a better answer. You can add them in comments or message me.

What does the sentence "A suggestion for continuance or remedied measure, if the possible effect is bad; if the effect of the condition is good, there must be a guide for the continuance of the existence of the condition” mean?

Thank you for asking me this question, but I do not believe I can give you a good explanation for that question. I’m sorry.

Rape to a minor Motion for Continuance?

You should be able to contact the State's attorney and get a victim's advocate for the child, go to the clerk of court home page for your county, you should be able to enter a case # and get info on who the State's attorney is, what is going on, etc. usually they are very helpful in the clerk's office. Also, try www.findlaw.com for "rules of court" in your state. that is where they put things like how many continuances, grounds, time constraints, etc.
Again, good luck, remind the child it IS NOT about him or her, it is about the sickness of the offender, it is very important to keep the child's self-esteem intact, and keep away negative self images that these children often carry. Peace and Good luck

What is cover continuance option in insurance?

I made a living underwriting primary casualty insurance, so I’m no expert on health insurance, but “cover continuance” sounds to me like a guarantee of continuing coverage for health insurance, regardless of any deterioration in the insured’s health. Questions I would ask before spending money for this guarantee are, 1. Does it guarantee affordable premiums for continuing coverage? 2. Do your state regulators already provide this protection by law or regulation?

Court stuff-- What does this mean??

Continued = adjourned

CMW not ready means that the clock is still ticking for your speedy trial rights. Many states require the case to be dismissed if the Prosecution does not declare it's ready for trial within 60 days or so after you are arrested, arraigned or indicted. YMMV depending on what state and what charges.

Query: are you on remand pending trial, ROR or on bail? My guess is you're on ROR and the court is continuing in that status through 4/28. "Must be tried CMW" means there is no offer by the prosecution to accept a plea to a lesser charge in satisfaction of the indictment or information.

What does dominion status mean?

This term became famous during the era of British Imperialism. Under this system the British colonies which were under the Crown rule were given the chance to form their own autonomous government. Though the government thus formed was autonomous it still owed allegence to the crown. And these states were termed as dominion states. Because it projected the idea of self governance of the state but also at the same was subject to the crown.
