Will Body Swapping Be Possible In The Future

Do you think teleportation will be possible in the future?

I am actually working on this, in my small part. I believe so, but we would need new ways to control quantum entanglement and use this to control matter, and one would need to have isolated and controlled atoms, with a device to individually manage each particle to make what is essentially the original object in a new place. As for destroying the object left behind, it's debatable whether that's even a necessary element.

This has been done on individual particles in labs with very complicated laser systems to vibrate two particles in such a way that they become entangled, and their states depend on each other. this is basically teleportation, a transfer of physical information or form over a distance without direct transportation.

So basically, yes, I think it will. And if it does, I'd hope it to be me... it's good to dream...

Could body-swapping become possible in the future?

As in Freaky Friday or full body transplants?Either way, no. Not currently.Freaky Friday situation- Well scientifically speaking, the most that could be done even if science could accomplish exactly what it wanted, would not be “swapping” bodies/consciousnesses, but instead transforming one consciousness into another. And that would require… Well basically the most advanced sci-fi AI that’s ever existed, plus a bunch of tech that does not exist which would be able to read and copy/rewrite the neural pathways and neurons of one person onto another. In terms of body transplants…Its kind’ve been done before with animals.Although whichever poor creature this happens to, usually dies within 1–2 days afterwards. It has never been done with humans and there is no evidence to suggest that it could, at this point in time, successfully be done with humans. (or any other macro organism)Even when done perfectly using today’s technology, the new brain simply would not be able to regulate and function the body (heart, lungs, whatever unconsciously requires brain stimulation) soon enough after transplant for both to survive. The brain has learned to regulate its previous body one unique way.The new body is accustomed and developed towards being regulated a different unique way.At least that is my understanding based on the material I have been reading. So the closest we could get is someone who technically meets the criteria of being alive, but would most likely be kept in a medical coma for the physical and psychological pain for a day or two until that person died.

Is body swap possible?

Ok, first of all. I know this question may sound really dumb and you might be thinking, "What a dumb ***" or something but yesterday, I was watching a movie about the daughter and the mom switching bodies and I also read books and other stories about people switching bodies. I was just wondering if it can be possible. If you think so, please explain why and if no, please tell me why you don't think so. Not just a "NO" or a "because it is impossible"

Possible to swap consciousness with another?

Like the title imply: Will there be an invention, where it is possible to swap a person's consciousness with another person?

Just like a time machine, is is possible, by theory, to invent a machine, that can swap consciousness?
Yeah, I know what you are thinking: What do you mean? Do you think of a machine, that can swap brains?

That would be a weird invention. That kind idea belongs to the science fictions.

I would love to see your version, story and perspective on this topic. Thank you for your patience.

Is it possible to swap engines on a hyosung?

Just about anything is possible, but this would be difficult.

I think the body/chassis is different.

You also have a different transmission between the two bikes; 6 speed on the 650R and 5 speed on the 250R. The 650R is a liquid cooled engine while the 250R is air/oil cooled.

They both use different carbs.

Is it possible to swap two people's consciousnesses?

Alright, I like Sci Fi I’ll give it a shot. First the answer is no it’s not possible. The brain is not just a house where we live. We can’t just pack up and decide to move and change our address. We are our memories and our memories are stored inside our brains. If you change your address you get changed too. However if it were possible as in the last episode of Star Trek Turn About Intruder or in the episode on Star Trek Next Generation The Schizoid Man you would have to be able to re-wright the brain patterns to accept the memories of the new personality. I imagine it would be somewhat like wiping a computer and reprogramming it. If you left your memories behind it would be like leaving yourself behind. If your talking about the physical brain, a transplant than you have to have physical compatibility and considerably better medicine then we have now.

Will immortality be possible in the near future? like the next 50 years?

im so afraid to die, im sure most of us are :( so the idea of immortality is the only thing that gives me hopes, what i mean by immortality is that we can never die of aging, so will it be possible in our generation?

If we swap the brains of two people, will their consciousness and identity be swapped too?

The bottom line seems to really be “yes”. If this was done to you, you’d experience going to sleep (I hope, for the surgery), then waking up with a different face and body.So most people I think would say that you were still you, but in a different body.Your personality would likely change a bit, in the same way that any drastic experience changes people. Going blind or becoming paralysed, or training and becoming incredibly fit, changes people. But they still feel themselves to be the same person, just like you feel that you were once a child, and all the things that happened to that child, happened to you.“Identity” is perhaps more arguable than “consciousness”, depending on your definition.Sometimes people suffer some sort of brain damage, and their friends and relatives may say that they are a “different person”. But while the person may feel differently about things than before, they themselves feel they are still the same person.Even if you should one day develop Alzheimer’s disease, you will still feel that things are happening to you and not someone else.So I think the idea that radical changes to our brain or body can change people into “different people” is really a confusion of language. People really mean that the subject seems like a different person, and sometimes relatives may be reluctant to even accept that it is the same person.A man who was calm and pleasant all his life, may take to throwing around his own faeces and trying to set fire to people if his brain is seriously damaged. He sees things differently to before, but from his point of view, he’s still who he was previously. He previously thought that throwing around his own faeces was a bad idea, and now he thinks it is a good idea; that’s all.Swapping brains is clearly tricky, but there is a surgeon who wants to perform a head transplant to help a semi-paralysed man in 2017, and the man is ready to give it a go. Most other surgeons say the man will end up either completely paralysed or else dead, but there’s a slim chance it may actually work out. They are proceeding in the full expectation that the man will simply find himself with a new body, and there’s no reason to think that a brain transplant would be any different.
